Former Premier League star, Dean Ashton has slammed Arsenal’s performance at Crystal Palace despite their 2-0 victory.
Arsenal made a scintillating start to the campaign this season, running away with a victory over a Crystal Palace side being handled by Gunners legend, Patrick Vieira.
Gabriel Martinelli put the visitors ahead on 20 minutes but Palace piled on the pressure for the next 65 minutes and spurned two glorious opportunities.
In the end, Mikel Arteta’s men added another as Marc Guehi turned Bukayo Saka’s cross into his own net on 85 minutes.
“There were long periods in that game where it felt like they[Arsenal]were just surviving, rather than having control of the game and dominating away from home,” Ashton told talkSPORT
“It felt like they survived and maybe got away with a result.”
